Kristin continues her battle with strength and grace. Kristin's liver is failing her and fluid continues to build in her body. With liver failure comes severe fatigue and confusion. Kristin struggles with her thoughts now so we must be patient and cherish her few words. Kristin has expressed thanks for everyone who has visited and provided support. I read her your messages daily and it always makes her smile. If you send Kristin a message and don't receive a reply, just know that your message was read to Krisitn. She cherishes your messages, she just doesn't have the energy to reply. Sometimes we may not know God's plan but we must trust that he has one. As I sit here holding my beautiful wife, I know that his plan was for me and all of you to be here for her in her time of need. Dan

So sorry...for the pain, the suffering, the loss of abilities. So thankful that God is present in the valley... And I am asking Him to pour out His passionate love over you both in a way that that will leave you altered...experiencing His closeness and His power. So sorry...praying for you all.

Dear Dan and Kristen,
AS I have read your Blog and thoughts I have been so taken by the love you two have shared. It speaks of a depth some of us will never know in our lifetime. It is like reading a Love Story. Strong Prince is there always for his beautiful Princess. Your unfailing love has inspired me to go out and help create a more loving, gentle world. May Peace be with you. Susan

Me and my small group are praying for all of you. God is good all the time, and I know that through this terrible trial, it can be tough to hear/see/say that. I have heard stories of Kristin's resilience and I am awed. She is so loved and is being prayed for. Isaiah 41:10 "fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
Constant prayers for Kristin and your entire family.

My Dearest Kristin, as the years go by and we look at your children's beautiful smiling faces we know we will be seeing you as you will live on thru your children. You have shown me and so many others what bravery and strength is all about and I know I am not alone in thanking you for that. I pray when the time has come God will take you in his hand and lead you to a place where you will have no more pain and you will be surrounded by our loved ones who will embrace you with their love. I love you my beautiful niece. Your loving Auntie Anne

Kristin,
Though it has been many years, I want you to know that you have been in my prayers. A friend sent this to me a few years ago and I found comfort in these words, I hope you and your family do as well.
What Cancer Can Not Do
Cancer is so limited.....
It cannot cripple love
It cannot shatter hope
It cannot corrode faith
It cannot destroy peace
It cannot kill friendship
It cannot suppress memories
It cannot silence courage
It cannot invade the soul
It cannot steal eternal life
It cannot conquer the spirit

You may not remember me--we played field hockey together at DHS. You hurt your knee one day, such an odd thing to remember. But the reason I remember is you immediately got up, even though you were hurt, and you wanted to keep playing. Back then I was impressed by will and commitment. Today I am touched, moved, and inspired by your fierce spirit and grace. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Kristin-
As I read through this website and your postings over the last year, so many memories of you and our time together come back to me. I remember the years of being girl scouts together when our moms were the troop leaders. I remember our time playing field hockey together at Dulaney. But mostly I remember the endless sunshine and optimism that followed you everywhere, your beautiful smile and your hard work and determination. I want you to know that I treasure these memories and will carry them with me always. Please know that I am praying for you and your family. Love Always, Caren Chillemi

Dear Kristen:
It was my privilege for that two week span in February to meet you and share a little time with you. You are truly a very remarkable woman. God is doing a work through you that you cannot even imagine, as He weaves your story through the lives of so many others. I thank Him for the opportunity of meeting you and following along in your journey. Dan, I am touched deeply by your love and care for your family. May God continue to give you great courage, strength, and rest. May you both feel His presence and His deep and abiding peace. We continue to pray for you.

Sweet Kristin, I feel grateful to have known you, you are an incredible person and beautiful soul. Too beautiful for this earth. I recently found a yogic prayer that says "May the long time sun shine upon you, all love surround you, and the pure light within you guide you on your way" Dan, Luke and Natalie, I am sending you strength and endless love during this difficult time. xoxo
