Kristin is out of her surgery and doing great! The surgery was a success and the doctor is very pleased with the results from her previous TACE. One more TACE is planned for the end of March to finish the right side of the liver. We are staying overnight at Johns Hopkins tonight and expect to be discharged tomorrow morning. Thanks for following Kristin's journey!
Back from my trip!! Yayyyyyyyyyy!!!! My trip to Michigan was wonderful and I really appreciated the treatment, rest, and relaxation I got there. I sure missed Dan and the kids though! I was introduced to some really nice people, healthy new foods, cool art therapy, and IV mistletoe. Thanks to all who helped me get there and care for my family while I was gone. I couldn't have done it without you!!
Dan and I are currently at John's Hopkins Hospital waiting for my second liver TACE procedure. After a morning full of tests and bloodwork, I find the operating room is running behind today, go figure!! We are sitting in pre-op ready to get this moving! I will keep everyone updated. Halfway through my trip to Michigan. I really miss Dan and the kids but I am having a wonderful experience. Everybody back home is keeping me updated with messages and pictures! My treatments are going very well and my body is already very rejuvenated. My days are very busy with treatments, activities, meals, and group therapy. The Steiner Center keeps everyone engaged and busy all day. The meals have been delicious and SUPER healthy. No junk here!! I am so glad I was already eating healthy and ready for what they had in store for us!! In my free time, Brian and I have taken some great trips around the area and enjoyed our bonding time! I will post some pictures when I return. Love you all, K
Tomorrow morning, I leave for the Steiner Health Institute in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I will return on February 22nd. My brother, Brian, will be accompanying me on the trip for support. While I will miss my family dearly, I look forward to two weeks of cancer killing Mistletoe therapy and whole body rejuvenation. A special heart felt thanks to all of you who made this trip possible!! The past few weeks have been a whirlwind recovering from my TACE procedure and preparing for my trip. I wanted to do my best to make sure Dan was prepared for what awaits him!! My energy is starting to return from the TACE so hopefully this retreat will get me back to 100 percent. I want to be 100% ready for the second TACE when I return. We had two major family milestones recently! We celebrated Luke's 4th birthday and Natalie started crawling!! Luke had a wonderful party at the local fire house and Natalie is so happy to finally be able to get Sophie the Giraffe when she throws her too far!!! I added a few new pictures of the kids and one old picture of Dan and I that I randomly found. Just reminiscing back to our old boat days……… Keep believing big and pray for great success!! K |
